Steph excited for Warriors to remind people of 'championship DNA' originally appeared on NBC Sports Bayarea
Steph Curry has waited almost three years to return to the bright lights of the NBA playoffs.
After the Warriors lost the 2019 NBA Finals to the Toronto Raptors, injuries and a dynastic reboot saw Curry and Co. miss the postseason in each of the last two seasons. But their postseason return is coming, and Curry is looking forward to reminding people of what Golden State can do when the stakes are highest.

"My goal is to get back for Game 1 of the playoffs," Curry, who currently is out with a sprained left foot, told Sue Bird and Dianna Taurasi on "The Bird and Taurasi Show" on ESPN on Friday. "Injuries suck. The timing is hopefully on your side in terms of getting back to as close to 100 percent as possible, which is my goal. The boys will hold it down to the end of the regular season.
"Like I said, that championship pedigree, we still got that. So, I just want to get in a playoff series and show who we are and bring our championship DNA back, and be playing under the brightest lights. It's been two years since we played in the playoffs, so we miss it."
Curry has been out since March 16 after suffering a left foot sprain in a loss to the Boston Celtics. The Warriors have said Curry will start some on-court work this week and he will be re-evaluated after the regular season concludes on April 11.

On Sunday, the Warriors won their 50th game of the season by beating the Kings 109-90 at Golden 1 Center. With three games remaining in the regular season, Golden State has a one-game lead over the Dallas Mavericks for the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference.
However, the Warriors aren't concerned with where they land in the bracket. As has been the case the entire season, the Warriors just want to reach the postseason as healthy as possible.
If they can do that, the Warriors are confident their playoff pedigree can help guide them through the treacherous Western Conference and back to the NBA Finals. But for now, everything rests on the health of Curry's left foot.
