SEATTLE – Linebacker Eli Harold joined 49ers teammates Colin Kaepernick and Eric Reid in taking a knee during the playing of the national anthem before Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks.
While the Seahawks players linked their arms during the playing of the Star-Spangled Banner, five other 49ers players raised their fists. The players are protesting racial inequalities in America – a movement Kaepernick began during the exhibition season.
Cornerback Keith Reaser and running back Mike Davis joined Antoine Bethea, Jaquiski Tartt and rookie Rashard Robinson with their fists raised.
