Ex-49ers offensive lineman Anthony Davis retired from the NFL, then unretired, then re-retired.
But all along the way the former first-round pick remained engaged in the team that drafted him.
During Thursday night's loss to the Cardinals, Davis issued a poll on social media asking users who should be the starting quarterback for the 49ers.

Davis followed up with two more related tweets; one citing his quarterback resume and another saying, "Trent, Call Me," which has since been deleted.
