Santa Clara Restaurant Near Levi's Stadium Claims Suffocation by Super Sunday Security

A Santa Clara restaurant owner claims his business will be crippled by Super Sunday security measures.

The website for David's Restaurant boasts its proximity to Levi's Stadium, which is just across the street. Super Bowl weekend should be a boon for business, but a Homeland Security invisible fence that's going up around the stadium's perimeter the week before will prevent David's from receiving onsite seafood and produce deliveries and customers from parking nearby.

David Ebrahimi told San Jose Mercury News that his family business is being leveled. "I call it discrimination," he said. "Why destroy a family business?"

Santa Clara's assistant city manager Ruth Shikada, who sent Ebrahimi a warning letter that the Super Bowl would "constrain" his business, revealed to the publication that the city has made frequent attempts to communicate with Ebrahimi, who has instead plead his case to the public and the press.

"He's not interested in hearing anything that isn't about conducting business his own way," she said.
