Warriors coach Steve Kerr invited Trayvon Martin's family to Friday's game against the Miami Heat.
Kerr met with Martin's mother, Sybrina Fulton, after the game, giving tickets to her and her family.

During his postgame press conference Friday, Kerr wore an "I Am Trayvon Martin" wristband.

Martin, then 17, was shot and killed on Feb. 26, 2012 by George Zimmerman in Sanford, Florida. Zimmerman confronted Martin, an African-American teenager who was unarmed, after seeing walk him through his gated community. He shot Martin in the ensuing altercation, saying he acted in self-defense. Zimmerman was found not guilty of second-degree murder in a 2013 trial.
Martin's death led to protests around the country. Dwyane Wade and LeBron James donned hooded sweatshirts along with their then-Heat teammates in a social-media post featuring the hashtags #WeAreTrayvonMartin and #WeWantJustice.
Kerr has been outspoken on issues of race and gun violence, staunchly advocating for gun control.
