Warriors Trade Monta Ellis for Andrew Bogut

Team will get former No. 1 pick and a familiar face.

The Golden State Warriors did not get Dwight Howard but they did get a big man.

A person with direct knowledge of the deal says the Milwaukee Bucks have agreed to trade center Andrew Bogut and forward Stephen Jackson to the Warriors for guard Monta Ellis.

The Bucks will also receive Ellis, forward Ekpe Udoh and center Kwame Brown.

The deal was first reported by Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski, before being confirmed by numerous other publications.

The trade represents a parting of the ways between the Bucks and Bogut, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2005 NBA draft who has struggled with injuries.

It also allows the Bucks to rid themselves of Jackson, who had fallen out of favor with coach Scott Skiles.

Jackson will return to the Warriors and his contract will reportedly not be bought out, according to Wojnarowski.
