5.8 Earthquake Jolts East Coast

While earthquakes are a given in California it’s not something many think about on the East Coast. A strong for the East Coast 5.8 earthquake jolted Mineral Virginia and sent waves of energy as far North as Toronto. While no major injury or damage was reported this was the strongest earthquake in the region in over 100 years. No major injuries or damage was reported. This is another reminder the time is now to prepare for earthquakes in the Bay Area. Chief Meteorologist Jeff Ranieri; August 23rd ; 5:52 PM
