100 Dachshunds Compete for the Title of Top Dog

The annual Oktoberfest kicked off last week in Cincinnati known today as “Zinzinnati.” The event is billed “North America’s largest Oktoberfest” and coincides with the Bavarian Beer Festival in Munich, Germany. More than 500-thousand people are expected to pack downtown Cincinnati for the showcase of German heritage, music, food, and beer. The 40th annual celebration started with the running of the wieners last Friday. About 100 dachshunds competed for the title of top dog. The festival also featured the world’s largest chicken dance. Oktoberfest runs through Sunday.
