Aircraft Noise Concerns Raised Across the Bay Area

The FAA is stepping in amid an ongoing noise problem happening across the Bay Area. Thousands of complaints about airplane noise continue to pour in from areas near San Francisco International Airport and San Jose International Airport. The FAA is in the early stages of testing and implementing new procedures. This comes after a study was initiated  by members of Congress. The study claims that new flight patterns along with planes using new guiding software to land means planes are flying lower to the ground and over the same exact path.
