An Effigy of US Presidential Candidates Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton Has Been Built in England

Every year, on November 5th, fireworks are let off across the UK to commemorate the attempt by Guy Fawkes and his fellow conspirators to blow up the houses of parliament in 1605. As part of those celebrations, the Edenbridge bonfire society in Kent, England, built a 36-foot image of a well-known figure to burn down. One of the artists behind the effigy is Frank Shepherd. He was part of building the bonfire effigies for the last 22 years. He had helped by local artist Andrea deans. The effigy shows Trump holding Clinton’s head. The Republican candidate is also seen wearing boxer shorts bearing the faces of men dressed in sombrero hats marked by Mexican flags. The Mexican flags is a reference to his pledge to build a wall along theU.S. border with its southern neighbor. Trump and Clinton join a long list of effigies of famous faces, including cyclist Lance Armstrong, FIFA President Sepp Blatter and footballer Wayne Rooney. The structure is due to be burnt down on Saturday (November 5th), just days ahead of the u-s election.
