Bald is Beautiful: ‘Shave-A-Thon' Cancer Fundraiser in Oakland Raises Money for Research

Bald was beautiful on Saturday in Oakland, where a fundraiser benefiting cancer patients saw many people come out to shave their heads in solidarity. Led by pedatric oncologist Dr. Caroline Hastings, UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital hosted the event, which is in its 9th year and is officially titled the “St. Baldrick’s Shave-A-Thon.”
