Bart Housing Proposal

San Francisco Assemblyman David Chiu and Concord Assemblyman Tim Grayson authorized an effort to boost the number of homes in and around BART transit hubs. The act would require BART to approve new streamlined standards for housing and low-income units. Cities would also be required to loosen zoning restrictions and any city or county that did not comply, would risk losing control of development projects on BART-owned land.
