BART Directors to Tour SF's Powell St. Station
BART’s board of directors on Thursday will take a close look at San Francisco’s popular Powell Street station. A change of pace is on tap with the directors to get a walking tour of the station, during which they will discuss upcoming projects, station modernization, crime and fare evasion, and homeless people who take shelter at the station. By taking a break from their usual meeting location in Oakland, the directors hope to get a first-hand perspective of issues plaguing the station. Pete Suratos reports.
