Batu the Orangutan Celebrates Birthday at Philadelphia Zoo

The Philadelphia Zoo celebrated the 7th birthday of their Sumatran orangutan. “Batu” celebrated the occasion with birthday treats while guests sang “happy birthday.” The guests at the zoo also had the opportunity to learn more about the orangutans and the zoo’s primate boom. The Philadelphia Zoo is America’s first zoo and one of the region’s foremost conservation organizations that is home to nearly 1,300 animals, many of which are endangered.
