Bell Ringing for Rosie the Riveter

On Labor Day, a nationwide event to honor women’s contributions to World War II. People gathered at the state capitol in Charleston, West Virginia to participate. It was billed as “ring a bell for Rosie.” People heard stories from real-life Rosies and rang a bell in their honor. Ceremonies like that one were held in at least 50 locations across the country.
