British Journalist Who Broke News of World War II Celebrates 105th Birthday

Clare Hollingworth, the correspondent known for being the first person to report the start of World War II, has turned 105 years old. The then 27-year-old was three days into her job at The Telegraph, a British newspaper, when she was the first to report 1,000 German tanks amassing at the Polish border. Flanked by family and friends, Hollingworth celebrated her birthday in Hong Kong Monday with cake and a publication of a new book by her great nephew Patrick Garrett.
