Coach Shows Compassion as He Disarms Teen With Gun

Like so many students, a 19-year-old who brought a shotgun to Parkrose High School in Portland in May might have felt alone and socially isolated. A former 49ers assistant coach saw the young man and removed the gun, which was loaded with only one shell, as he gave him a hug — a hug which the teen accepted. Thom Jensen reports.
