Contra Costa Reservoir Expansion Meeting

Water officials in Contra Costa County will discuss the planned expansion of Los Vaqueros reservoir neat Brentwood. The $900 million project will raise the eastern dam by 55 feet and add more storage capacity to meet the water needs of nearly 1.5 million people, the East Bay Times reports. The public meeting on the expansion’s environmental report is planned for later in February.
