Making a Promise to the Jackson Triangle

A $25 million dollar grant from the US Department of Education supports families and schools in Hayward’s disadvantaged Jackson Triangle area. The Hayward Promise Neighborhood, modeled after the Harlem Children’s Zone in New York City, aims to reduce poverty and boost academic success in six schools in the Hayward Unified School District.
