High School Wrestler Diagnosed With Herpes Makes Plea to Postpone State Championships

A Bay Area student-athlete diagnosed with a highly contagious form of herpes he says he contracted during a wrestling match is asking the state to postpone the state championship meet scheduled for this weekend until officials can determine how many other athletes may have been exposed.
