Illegal Firework Fines

San Jose is taking action after several people say they have been unfairly fined for using illegal fireworks. The city council is considering changes to fireworks enforcement. The council asked staff to come back in November with a detailed ordinance, that will improve the way people report illegal fireworks. San Jose’s fire chief says improving online reporting is among the changes discussed.
