Japan Creates Trump vs. Clinton Burgers

Some Japanese got a taste of voting in the US Presidential Election. Customers choose between a burger representing either Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton or her Republican rival, Donald Trump. Patrons of a burger cafe in Tokyo were asked to vote between the two. Burgers called Mr. Burger and the other Mrs. Burger, which were made using recipes unique to the city each candidate was born in. Mr. Burger, representing Trump, was inspired by the “Reuben sandwich”, a recipe originating from New York. Mrs. Burger, representing Clinton, was inspired by what is considered Chicago’s soul food, the “Chicago dog”. Opinions were mixed when it came to how impressionable the burgers actually were. Ballot boxes were placed next to the cash register for patrons to vote after they finished their meals. The election period for the burgers runs until November 8th and a winner will be announced the following day. The losing burger will be removed from the menu, and the winning burger will continue to be served for a year.
