Man Tries to Rob 11-Year-Old Near SF Elementary School

A man tried to rob an 11-year-old boy two blocks away from his elementary school in San Francisco. It happened last Friday at Clement and Funston just after 6:00. That’s right around the corner from Sutro Elementary School. Police say a man in his 30’s demanded the child’s wallet and when he refused the man hit him in the shoulder and called him a racial slur. The boy ran back to school and reported the incident. Parents picking kids up at school Friday want to know why school officials haven’t warned them about it. The principal called police and the boy’s parents and police are investigating.
