Mom in Custody in Death of Children's Father

The mother of three kids abducted from San Pablo was arrested on Tuesday in connection with the shooting death of the childrens’ father, police said. At a morning news conference, San Pablo Police Cmdr. Jeff Palmieri said 35-year-old Alicia Ortez was arrested in connection with the homicide of the children’s father. He was found shot on Monday just before 8 a.m. in the backyard of a home in the 1600 block of 16th Street. Stephanie Chuang reports.
