NBC Bay Area Anchors Take Spin in Indy Car

With the Indy Car circuit in town for the GoPro Grand Prix at Sonoma Raceway this weekend, NBC Bay Area’s Raj Mathai got the need for speed and strapped into an Indy car that stopped by the station on Wednesday. “I hung on for life,” Mathai said, describing the cruise around the block. Mathai said the car that’s capable of speeds up to 240 mph probably maxed out at 60 mph on the streets of North San Jose. Anchor Janelle Wang also took a spin in the car earlier.
