New Waiting Area Unveiled at SJC's International Terminal

The Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International Airport is expanding again – this time with a new international arrivals waiting area. Family and friends no longer have to wait outside for passengers to exit through customs. They can now wait in a 3,000-square-foot air-conditioned lounge. That’s not all, to accommodate the additional traffic, the airport has also added a second baggage carousel in the international terminal. The number of airlines offering international service out of SJC has jumped from three to nine in recent years. The expansion cost just over $8 million, which came from existing bond funds.
