Oakland Postal Worker to Be Honored for Aiding Colleague Who was Shot

An Oakland postal worker on Wednesday will be recognized and honored for risking his life to save one of his colleagues. The worker’s colleague was shot while making deliveries back in July. The victim, Michal Stafford, was driving along her route on Bancroft Avenue near 55th Avenue when she was struck in the hip by a bullet. That’s when another postal worker rushed to her aid. Stafford is expected to survive. She’ll be at Wednesday’s ceremony.
