U.S. ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens said he “was thrilled to watch the Libyan people stand up and demand their rights” shortly after he was appointed to his post earlier this year. But on Tuesday, the Northern California native and three other embassy staff members were killed in an attack on the U.S. embassy in Benghazi.
