San Jose City Council Votes to Maintain Rent Control Cap

There will be no changes for renters in San Jose. Late Tuesday night, the city council voted five to six to keep the current rent control cap. Landlords of units built before 1978 are limited to raising rents by no more than five percent each year. The proposal would have limited increases.
