San Jose Standoff Ends in Arrest

A San Jose man who barricaded himself inside a home on Kipling Court for nearly five hours has been arrested, police said. Neighbors said it was the suspect’s mother’s house, and he had recently been evicted. A former roommate said officers had to help the suspect’s mother escape out a window.
