Schaffer's Mill Segment one

Situated on almost 500 acres of the loveliest land in the Sierra, Schaffer’s Mill is named for George Schaffer, often called the “Father of Truckee.” His original Mill, located here, produced much of the lumber that built an emerging San Francisco. The trees have since returned, making this location, between the rustic mountain town and the jewel of Tahoe, ideal for family living.
