Sen. Leland Yee faces new racketeering charge, which carries a maximum 20-year sentence on that count alone. The revised indictment alleges that Yee tried to extort “individuals and professional sports teams related to the passage of legislation governing the ability of professional athletes to collect workers compensation for injuries in California.”
