SFPD Fights Lombard Street Crime Surge: Report

The area around the iconic Lombard Street in San Francisco is also reportedly seeing a surge in “crooks” and that has police ramping up patrols, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. The newspaper reports officers are conducting more foot patrols in the area due to a spike in crimes targeting tourists. Police say robberies and car break-ins are also up significantly this year.
