Stolen Identities, Stolen Lives

Federal tracking records show thousands of complaints from people who not only lose control over their credit but over their lives when thieves commit crimes, buy property and run up enormous debt using stolen identities. An NBC Bay Area investigation discovered the system is so fragmented that many victims take decades to clear their names. NBC Bay Area Senior Investigative Reporter Stephen Stock reports.
