Tree House Lady

A self-described hippie may be evicted from the tree house where she’s lived for decades. Shawnee Chasser, a 65-year old purple haired flower child. She has called this open air paradise her home for 25 years. It represents the simple life and provides the necessities plus a fountain, a pool and pets. Miami-Dade County received a complaint from a neighbor that Chasser is running a commune. At least eight people share the grounds and the main house. The county says it all has to come down. While Chasser says everything is up to code the county has cited her for permit violations. She has been cited for “substandard construction” and “improperly running electricity and plumbing.” She has about 110-days left to bring it up to code.
