U.S. Research Labs Home to 100,000 Monkeys, Critics Call Experiments ‘Outdated and Barbaric'

It’s a kind of science that some believe could eventually cure Parkinson’s Disease, Zika and AIDS. But to find a cure experts experiment with non-human primates, mostly monkeys. One Northern California university is housing more than 6,000 monkeys for research. Investigative Reporter Bigad Shaban reports in a video that first aired on Feb. 16, 2017.
