United Way Bay Area to Merge With Silicon Valley Group

In a development eagerly watched by Bay Area philanthropic groups, Thursday the board of directors of the 94-year-old United Way of Silicon Valley approved the first steps of a merger with the United Way of the Bay Area. Joe Rosato Jr. reports.
