Valley Fire Evacuees Prepare for Rain

It was a bit of a scramble to protect what’s become a home away from home for Jorge Fonseca and his friend – forced to leave their Lake County home because of the raging Valley Fire. But on Wednesday, the 13-year-old and his family appeared to be in good spirits, even though they lost everything because of the fire in their Middletown home. After waking up four mornings in a row in a tent in nearby Calistoga, he’s worried about one more thing: Rain on the way. “Yeah, last night, so chilly, so cold,’’ he said. Stephanie Chuang reports.
