World War II Plane Lands on Georgia Highway

Drivers on an Atlanta highway faced more than the usual traffic problems as they dodged a World War II German replica plane that had to make an emergency landing. The landing happened on Highway 316 in Gwinnett County. The pilot said he was practicing stunts when the engine stopped at 2,500 feet. He couldn’t restart the engine so he decided to land on the highway and park it in the grassy median. No injuries were reported. The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating. The pilot said he uses the plane made to look like an old World War II German fighter at air shows.
