“Fogust” Continues

Our weather pattern appears locked in a fairly mild pattern for this time of year. A steady sea breezy supplying marine air into our inland valleys will insure highs remain in the 70s to mid 80s away from the bay with cooler 60s to mid 70s near the bay and coastline. As an upper level low lifts upward and away from the Pacific Northwest this may allow for a slight warmup inland on the scale of 5-10 degrees of warming by midweek. This would place valley temps near 90 in the warmest locations inland around Wednesday before temps ease downward again approaching next weekend. The long range forecast looks more favorable to mild conditions sticking around with a large trough more or less anchored in the Gulf of Alaska to near the Pacific Northwest, preventing high pressure from building too strongly into California.Enjoy your Sunday! – Rob Mayeda
