AM Fog, Central Coast Quake

Areas of dense fog and mist again are starting the day with a turn to gradually clearing skies and hazy sunshine during the afternoon. Highs will stay fairly cool with mostly upper 50s to mid 60s. Ahead for the weekend, as high pressure strengthens we should see less morning fog, and some offshore winds which should help boost temps closer to the 70s starting as early as Friday for areas south of San Jose to Santa Cruz. Also of note, you may have noticed some shaking around 5:21am if you’re living in the South Bay or near Santa Cruz. A preliminary magnitude 4.4 quake was centered northeast of King City along the San Andreas Fault.- Rob Mayeda
