Break from the Rain Ahead

Areas of patchy dense morning fog will be the prime weather issue for early next week as high pressure begins building in. There’s still a slight chance for a few showers aiming in on the North Bay into Monday before the high turns stronger toward the middle of the week. For areas not dealing with lingering fog, especially around the South Bay we may see high approaching the upper 60s to near 70 around Wednesday and Thursday. As high pressure deflects rain chances to the north, we will see another round of large surf around Tuesday, good enough to likely warrant high surf advisories again. Next chance for rain should be on Friday as the high begins to break down, setting up what looks to be at this point a breezy and rainy final weekend of January ahead.
