Chilly Nights Ahead, Weekend Rain

A much cooler, drier airmass is being transported into the Bay Area thanks to blustery NW winds today. Highs will stay in the upper 50s near the coast to mid 60s inland. For wind sheltered valleys, patchy frost is possible both Thursday and Friday mornings with dry weather to wrap up the end of the work week, however the weekend is a different story. Its looking like a fairly steady rain event for areas north of San Francisco starting Saturday and lasting potentially into early Monday with some breaks at times. Current model projections show a potential rain shadow greatly reducing rain totals around the Santa Clara Valley…so stay tuned.
