Cool Coast, Hot Valleys

The sea breeze is running a little stronger this morning which should insure another cool and cloudy day near the coastline and mild temps across the inner bay. Inland valleys however won’t enjoy as much of a marine influence on the weather with highs expected to climb into the 80s and 90s. Temps may rise a little more into the start of the weekend as high pressure reaches peak strength. We should see increasing clouds later on Saturday as an area of low pressure approaches California. Temps by Sunday should drop a few degrees and more so by next Monday. However of greater concern for potential fire danger issues will be if this system manages to fire off any isolated thundershowers late Saturday into Sunday. Any storms would be moving into a dried out boundary layer from several days of warm temps inland, with hillsides much drier now vs. just a couple of weeks ago.
