Cooling Ahead, Midweek Showers

After temps soared into the 70s and mid 80s this weekend, the return of onshore winds and coastal low clouds will bring temps down to start the work week. More importantly we’ll be watching an area of low pressure bringing mostly cloudy skies by Tuesday and a chance for showers and isolated thunder to the area starting Wednesday and lasting perhaps into the start of the weekend, though we should see most of the shower activity moving SE of the Bay Area by Saturday afternoon, per the current trends in the long range forecast models. Early next week may see a warm up as high pressure attempts to build back more strongly again.
