Cooling Changes Ahead

The stratus surge is back, but the marine air is still very shallow, good enough to bring 15-20 degrees of cooling along the immediate coast and some cooling into the inner bay as well. Valleys will likely have to wait another day to see more signficant cooling. As the marine air begins to deepen again, attention remains on conditions near the Loma Fire, burning near 3,000 ft elevation. Very warm temps and low humidity levels may linger into Wednesday even as lower elevations begin to see cooling. Wind speeds too may become more of an issue as winds begin to pick up slightly in response to the stronger onshore push of cooler air. The trend through the end of the week into next weekend certainly looks cooling with an increasing chance for seeing at least a little rain into the North Bay at times early next week, and maybe if we’re lucky even a little further south by late Monday and Tuesday.
