Freezing Temps Continue

More freezing temps are expected away from the coastline and inner bay waters with daytime highs in the mid 50s to low 60s. We’ll begin to see a few high clouds late in the day from a weather system that will weaken rapidly as it crosses through the Bay Area. Monday should see mostly cloudy skies following another potentially frosty morning. As this incoming weather system is fairly weak, we may not get enough onshore, southerly winds to to warm things up too noticeably, plus the cloud cover may limit some daytime heating. Highs in the 40s and 50s appear likely. Tuesday and Wednesday should begin to see changes as we begin to see onshore winds increase, adding more moisture to the air and preventing night time temps from dropping below the mid 30s and 40s. Wednesday could see highs briefly in the mid to upper 60s ahead of Thursday’s stronger weather that looks breezy and fairly rainy at times for most of the day, with rain changing to showers into the evening. – Rob Mayeda
