Octo-Brrr: Frost Advisory Issued for Bay Area

NBC Universal, Inc. Meteorologist Kari Hall has an update on cool air settling into the Bay Area and when we could see rain in the Microclimate Forecast.

The National Weather Service issued a frost advisory for the Bay Area Sunday.

The advisory is in effect through 9 a.m. Monday.

The weather service said temperatures will dip into the 30s as a cold air mass settles in with additional cooling overnight.

Interior valleys could get as low as 29 to 33 degrees Fahrenheit, which will result in frost formation.

Clear skies, dry air allowing the same weather system that dropped snow across the Sierra is setting up our patchy frost chances into Monday morning. Rob Mayeda has more.
