Frosty Start to Sunday

CHILLY START TO SUNDAYDry air and clear skies overnight allowed temps to dip into the low 30s to mid 40s around the Bay Area with some patchy fog in spots. We’re expecting mostly sunny, slightly hazy skies for the afternoon with some patches of low clouds near the coast and bay. Highs should be mainly in the low to mid 60s.Monday should see a repeat performance with some areas of fog showing up inland, especially around our inland North Bay and East Bay valleys. Then clouds will continue to increase into Tuesday as our next chance for rain begins to approach for midweek.TRAVEL & THANKSGIVING DAY FORECASTIts still looking like we’ll see some rain around Thanksgiving, but the timing of the next weather system arriving in the Bay Area continues to fluctuate from computer model run to run. For now, its looking like some light rain may approach the coastline around Wednesday evening, with some rain at times for Thursday, especially near the coastal mountains and South Bay as the trend appears to be to drive this area of low pressure into Southern California around Friday. We should see briefly moderate northerly winds again for the end of the week into next weekend with clearing skies and warming temps again.Enjoy your week!– Rob Mayeda
