Gusty Wind, Sierra Snow

A storm system tracking over Northern California and just east of the Sierra will help increase gusty winds for Sunday in the 15-35 mph range with higher gusts near the coastline and inner bay. Wind advisories may become necessary by the afternoon as gusts approach 45 mph+ at times. As the core of the weather system is expected to stay east of the Sierra, shower chances look sparse, however some showers will be possible at times especially across the North Bay and interior East Bay hills to wrap up the weekend. Things should trend less windy Monday into Tuesday as the weather system moves to the east. Another storm due in for Wednesday should bring a better chance for widespread rain, more Sierra snow and isolated thundershowers midweek, before high pressure may build back more strongly into next weekend, possibly boosting highs in the 70s and low 80s.
